Izzi Bath is proud and honored to participate in Operation Finally Home, a non-profit charity which builds a new home for a wounded or disabled US veteran. Izzi will be suppling a portable hot tub to the family of Sgt. Irving. Operation FINALLY HOME was founded in 2005 as a non-partisan/non-profit organization with the mission to provide Americans the ability to honor and thank America’s wounded and disabled veterans and the widows of the fallen who have sacrificed to defend our country in the global War on Terror. Severely wounded and disabled service members return home to confront extreme hardships, from physical and emotional disabilities to financial ruin, joblessness and homelessness. Dismayed by their plight, Operation FINALLY HOME addresses the most pressing need of our returning heroes -- a home to call their own!
Sgt. Jackie Irving joined the U.S. Army in May 2006 and was stationed at Oklahoma, Alaska and Texas. He also did two tours of duty in Iraq in 2008-2009 and Afghanistan in 2011-2012. During his tour in Afghanistan, he was hit with an IED while on foot patrol. His injuries included left sholder sublixation, nerve damage, PTSD, shrapnal wounds, head injuries, and bleeding on the brain. Sgt. Irving has recieved a Purple Heart, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Campaign Star, Iraq Campaign Medal with 2 Stars, Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal. Sgt. Irving is married, his wife's name is Britney and they have 3 sons, Jackie, Jr., 8, Jackie II, 4, and Josiah, 2. The Irving Family is grateful to be this year's Monster House recipients. Izzi acrylic whirlpool factory introduces a new high efficiency Whirlpool tub that saves 38 percent of energy cost over the average 30 minute bath. This is accomplished by combining the Syllent heat pump and Izzi's, high efficiency insulation system.
Izzi has addressed an ongoing consumer concern about energy waste and water waste as large bathtubs and whirlpool bathtubs become the norm as opposed to the exception. The company president, Lonny Izlar, stated that "people love a good hot bath an that is unlikely to change. What can change is the way the industry has previously ignored the energy loss and water wasted reheating the cooling bath water."
According to Mr. Izlar, 98 percent of bathtubs in the united States are non-insulated forcing bathers to continuously add hot water to maintain the bath water temperature. This waste 10 gallons of fresh water per bath and an average of 50 cents of electric cost. Additionally, the fresh water consumed to generate the power that is needed to heat this wasted water, requires 30 gallons of cooling that is consumed by the power plants. .
Izzi new whirlpool systems use a new pump design by Syllent that uses the wasted heat energy from the pump motor coils to heat the water. This new system, in combination with the Izzi's insulation foam,virtually eliminates the need to add additional hot water.
Izzi will begin offering the new pump and foam system in September 2011. The new high efficiency whirlpool tubs are going to be comparable in cost to Izzi's Existing foam insulated whirlpools and is estimated to be 50 percent more efficient.
Mr. Izlar states "I am particularly proud of the fact that Izzi is addressing a real industry problem an doing so in a way that saves the consumers electric expenses and water. I would also like to encourage consumers not to overdo the size of their bathtub. Bigger is not always better when selecting your hydro therapy whirlpool tub. "
Izzi Releases it 60th acrylic tub mold: "The Indulgence"
The new mold is 41X70 and 25 inches deep and designed for a standard 12 jet whirlpool tub system. The new Indulgence is comparably priced to other Izzi Tubs of similar size and performance. Izzi will offer the new two person whirlpool tub in all 6 whirlpool Tub and Air Bath performance levels. The new whirlpool tub will also come standard with Waterway's new Smart Plumb jet system and new 14 amperage high performance pump with a high flow return. The new Smart Plumb jet system allows better flow performance and moreback and lumbar therapy jets to be added to the whirlpool system.
